V1 Azur Lane's personification of the Japanese heavy cruiser [i]Chikuma[/i].

She had been present in the game since the beginning, but would be formally introduced following a complete redesign of her character in the [i]Upon the Shimmering Blue[/i] event.

h4. Appearance
For the aforementioned event, she was given a redesign by Shisantian (post #4782470).
She now has a similar appearance to Atago (Azur Lane), with the primary difference being her outfit (now featuring an updated black skirt and white top, with the detached sleeves now joined to the rest of the dress), her thighhighs changed from white to black, long hair instead of short while still retaining her hair color, and the fact that she has rabbit ears, which has led to comparisons with Arknights' Amiya and subsequent donkey jokes.

Her rig was also given an update, now sporting four 20.3 cm twin mounts (one to her left, one on her back raised to the front, two on her right), triple torpedo tubes, a seaplane, and a place to hold her ootachi on her left rig.

h4. History
In real life, [i]Chikuma[/i] was the second of the [i]Tone[/i]-class, originally planned as the sixth Mogami (Azur Lane)-class but design changes to the Tone-class pair for scouting requirements proved otherwise.

She served with her sister as a carrier task force escort from Pearl Harbor to the Philippine Sea, then as a surface task force escort in Leyte Gulf, where she was severely damaged by Taffy 3 in the battle off Samar. Nowaki (Azur Lane) arrived to rescue Chikuma's survivors after she had sunk from the damage sustained, but Nowaki was herself later sunk with almost all of Chikuma's survivors; the sole survivor was not picked up by Nowaki and landed ashore.
