The personification of the name ship of her class of destroyers in [[Azur Lane]]. [i]Kiev[/i] was historically designed as a follow-on to the [i]Tashkent[/i]-class design when it became clear that Italian shipbuilding practices were incompatible with the comparatively inferior Soviet shipbuilding industry and practices. [i]Kiev[/i] and her sisters were to be cheaper versions of [i]Tashkent[/i] with virtually the same armament. All were canceled or scrapped by the time of the German invasion of the Soviet Union. h4.
