[b]Burning Force[/b] is a 2.5D shoot 'em up [[science fiction]] arcade [[video game]] that was originally released by [[Namco]] in 1989 only in Japan. It runs on Namco System 2 hardware. The player controls a 21-year old space cadet named [[Tengenji Hiromi]], who as part of her final training battles high-tech enemies on a [[hover_bike|futuristic motor scooter]]. The game was ported to the [[Sega Mega Drive]] home console in 1990 as well as its [[sega_mega_drive|Sega Genesis]] western version in 1991. h4.
