Shikinami is the 12th Fubuki-class destroyer/2nd ship of the Ayanami-class destroyers in Kantai Collection.

h4. Appearance

In-game, Shikinami has medium hair|medium-length brown hair tied in a ponytail, and brown eyes.
She and ayanami (kancolle)|Ayanami wear a brown sailor collar version of the Fubuki-class serafuku, complete with a brown skirt.

She would obtain Shikinami Kai Ni (Kancolle)|her second remodel with the February 7th 2020 update, her outfit is essentially the default Special Type Kai Ni uniform. See the page for more details.

h4. History
In real life, Shikinami was part of DesDiv19 alongside her sister Ayanami and her half-sisters Isonami and Uranami. She first saw action in the battle of the Sunda Strait where she fired the torpedo that sank Houston (Kancolle)|.

Later seeing action in the battle of Midway and Naval Guadalcanal, she rescued Shirayuki (Kancolle)|'s survivors in the battle of the Bismarck Sea and spent the rest of her combat duty as a convoy escort, where she was sunk in one of these in September 1944.
