The game itself is a ROM hack of The Flintstones: Rescue of Dino & Hoppy featuring Mario as the protagonist, replacing Fred Flintstone. 7 GRAND DAD became a meme during a Vargskelethor stream reviewing bootleg games when he stumbled upon a “Mario 7 in 1” bootleg multicart, when he chose “Mario 7” he exclaimed the now iconic “GRAND DAD!” which subsequently created the 7 GRAND DAD meme.
