V6 The Rise is a terrorist faction on pre-war and early-war Cybertron in [[IDW_Publishing]]’s 2019 comic continuity within the [[Transformers]] franchise. It was a splinter group of the [[Ascenticon]]s organized by the second Ascenticon leader [[Megatron]] and the previously-exiled [[Shockwave]].
Shockwave was recruited to be in charge of the splinter faction. Following Megatron’s ideals of success even through mass deception, The Rise was created as a part of an elaborate scheme to collect more people to join the Ascenticons. The Rise wreaked havoc among Cybertron for most of the comic, which involved crashing orbiting starships, killing civilians, and sabotaging, which would all hopefully lure people into the Ascenticon cause. Though Megatron’s intentions eventually became clear to Cybertron and through the conversion from Ascenticon to [[Decepticon]], The Rise remained a prominent group within the beginning of the war and the overall story of the comic.

Some characters part of the Rise faction include: [[Astrotrain]], [[Barricade]], [[Bombshell_(transformers)]], Catgut, Enemy, [[Flamewar]], [[Frenzy_(transformers)]], Kaskade, Lowload, Lugnut, Mindwipe, [[Rumble_(transformers)]], Quake, Shadow Striker, Shockwave, Sixshot, Slipstream, Sunstorm, Triggerhappy, and Wirespike.
