An anatomical structure most often found on [[reptile]]s such as [[lizard]]s, [[dragon]]s and other similar creatures. Often positioned at the neck or on top of the head and forms a membranous surface. However, while almost all are membranous, there are few that aren't. Specifically, frills made of [[bone]] generally aren't membranous and instead are just hardened structures. Often similar in appearance to the [[fin]] of some [[fish]]es. Commonly seen on [[reptilian]]/[[scalie]] characters and some [[Pokémon_(species)]].
