Moomintroll, often just called [i]Moomin[/i] for short, is the protagonist for most of [[the_moomins]] series. He first appeared in the 1945 novel, [i]the Moomins and the Great Flood[/i] by Finnish author Tove Jansson. Like the other moomins, his body is covered in [[white_fur]] and has a large snout that makes him resemble a hippopotamus. He also has a long [[tail]] and [[blue_eyes]].
