Chitose is the namesake ship of the Chitose-class light aircraft carriers in [[Azur_Lane|Azur Lane]]. h4. Appearance [tn]See post #4107041.[/tn] Chitose has [[long_hair|long]] [[red_hair|red hair]] tied with multiple [[hair_ribbon|hair ribbons]] on the ends, [[red_eyes|red eyes]] and [[fox_ears|fox ears]] that [[floppy_ears|flop down]] on her head. She wears a black and gold [[fox_mask|fox mask]] and a [[veil|white veil]] on her head. She loosely wears a [[White_kimono|white kimono]] with a dark red and gold [[floral_pattern|floral pattern]] on the sleeves, a black [[halterneck]], [[red_skirt|red]] [[pleated_skirt|pleated skirt]], white [[tabi|tabi socks]] and [[geta|geta sandals]]. She has [[claw_rings|brass claw rings]] on her fingers that serve as a means of controlling her [[shikigami|shikigami]]. She along with her sister got a [[chitose (summer shine) (azur lane)|summer CG]] upon being introduced into the game. She wears a [[red_bikini|red bikini]] with golden [[high_heels|high heals]] and a [[sun_hat|sun hat]] on her head. She also wearing a [[cloth|slik cloth]] over her body. h4. Personality Chitose is quite a calm and gentle personality. She often makes protective charms for the the commander and Chiyoda. Both she and Chiyoda are good Kagura dancers, they often rehearse with Fuso and Yamashiro. h4. History Chitose originally built as the first vessel of the Chitose Class seaplane tenders launched on the 29th November 1936. She along with her sister were both converted and reclassified as Light Aircraft Carriers. As a carrier she participated in the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. She would finally meet her end during the battle of Cape Engano on the 25th October 1944 where she along with Zuikaku, Zuihou and Chiyoda were used as a sacrificial decoy force to lure the American fleet away from the landing beaches in the Philippines. She took three torpedo hits from US carrier aircraft and ultimately sank due to flooding with the loss of 903 men. The cruiser Isuzu rescued 480 men, and destroyer Shimotsuki a further 121. h4. Trivia * Both She and Chiyoda are classified as Zuihou class CVL's in Game despite the Zuihou and Chitose classes CVL's being entirely separate classes all together. * She is voiced by Hitomi Sekine who also provided the voice for Chiyoda. h4.
