V2 Shimada is a type of [i]nihongami[/i], or Japanese hairstyle.

During the Edo period, this was a hairstyle commonly worn by young women. Hair is gathered together at the crown of the head, and a small part of of the bun is sectioned to point outwards.
Normally worn with [[kanzashi]] or other [[hair_ornament]]s.

On rule 34, this tag is used to refer to the general [[updo]]s and hairstyles worn by Japanese women such as [[geisha]]s or [[oiran]].
