A character's ass grows very significantly in a short timeframe. Frequently their hips and thighs will expand as well. Pictures featuring a character with a cartoonishly big ass will frequently get mistagged as "Ass Expansion", but only pictures that actually depict a character's ass getting bigger should be tagged as such. Since this obviously can't be properly depicted in a still image, artists will generally use action lines and/or sound effects to denote growth. Commonly used sound effects include "Creaaaaak" and "Groooooan", which gives the impression that the skin is being audibly stretched due to the very sudden and drastic increase in volume.
