The Japanese name for what is (now formerly titled) the Yakuza franchise translated into English, which the developers as of 2023, all future titles will be named following the long-desired release of Like a Dragon: Ishin! outside of Japan. It is also an odd case in the seventh title of a franchise being called what it is in other countries, with the 7th main entry, Yakuza: Like a Dragon having its subtitle be the Japanese (and now, repeat, the current name of the franchise) title, similar to how Resident Evil's 7th main entry, Biohazard, having the Japanese title as the subtitle, and the Japanese release being Biohazard: Resident Evil, both of which fit, where one could see the subtitle "Biohazard" befitting the Mold enemies, and the Japanese subtitle "Resident Evil" being a bit more blunt, with the Baker family being an evil, within a residence, Resident Evil.
