Anne Savisa Boonchuy (แอน สาวิสา บุญช่วย) is the protagonist of Amphibia. She is a 13 years old Thai-American human girl in seventh grade at Saint James Middle School, who in 2019 stole the Calamity Box for her friends Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu on her 13th birthday. After Anne opened the box, the three friends were transported to Amphibia. While lost on a strange, lily pad-shaped island, Anne finds a new friend, an enthusiastic young frog named Sprig Plantar. Together they start seeking adventures and exploring the secrets of the world of Amphibia. Anne and her new frog family try to uncover the mystery behind the Calamity Box and a way to get Anne back home, along with trying to find Marcy and Sasha who were transported with her.
