V1 Kantai Collection character, personifying the seaplane cruiser "HSwMS Gotland":https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSwMS_Gotland_(1933). She is the game's first Nordic shipgirl as well as the first one from the Swedish Royal Navy (which was a neutral and mostly uninvolved navy during WWII, also a first). Her artist is Drew and her namesake is "the island of Gotland":https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotland, located southeast of mainland Sweden.

Gotland has long grayish blue hair tied into a bun and a mole under the far corner of her left eye. She wears a military uniform consisting of an overcoat, a shirt with a blue sailor collar and black_neckerchief, and a blue skirt with yellow stripe (the colors of the Swedish flag). Completing the outfit are short white gloves, a dirk strapped to her thigh, mid-shin socks and rudder shoes. Her rigging includes a smokestack, a single turret at her right side and a short landing pad for seaplanes at her left.

After her remodel (kantai_collection) she trades her sailor collar and neckerchief for a collared shirt and necktie, and trades her socks for thighhighs. Her landing pad is also replaced with a group of anti-aircraft guns, reflecting her conversion (see below).

Being the only Swedish shipgirl, she is often portrayed with distinctive Swedish things (surströmming being an example). She is also associated with sheep. The equipment fairies on both S9 Osprey and Swordfish Mk.III Kai (which are associated with Gotland) look like tiny versions of Gotland that are using sheep as pillows. This is probably due to her namesake island's coat of arms depicting a ram. Alternatively, due to her unusually friendly and casual attitude with the Admiral, she is often portrayed as "manipulating them and the shipgirls to think she was there since the beginning.":/pools/14729 However, this personality trait likely stems from that Swedes generally speak very casually with others, even those of a higher rank or standing, which is the complete opposite of Japanese customs with their strict formality rules.

For a collaboration with Lawson in February 2019 (for Valentine's day), she was one of three shipgirls (but the one primarly shown) designated to wear the employee's uniform. Her portrait is based on her Kai form.

For a collaboration with Hirota, she represents Sweden (who else?) with the ginger mint-flavored "Got Chou":/posts/3474400.

As noted above, Sweden was neutral and mostly uninvolved during WWII and the historical Gotland did not see any active combat. She just became known for spotting Bismarck (kancolle) as the latter broke out of the Baltic Sea. Bismarck's coordinates were sent to general headquarters, but were intercepted by the British embassy, triggering "the Allied chase after the German battleship":https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_battle_of_the_battleship_Bismarck.

Gotland was first converted into an anti-aircraft cruiser in 1944 due to lack of seaplanes, then into a training ship in 1953 with a capacity as a fighter direction ship in case of war. She was later decommissioned in 1956, struck off in 1960, sold in 1962, and finally scrapped in 1963.
