A fictional [[mecha]] from the [[Gundam]] [[science fiction]] series. It first appeared in the [[Mobile Suit Gundam]] TV show from 1979. The [b]RB-79 Ball[/b] is a simplistic mobile weapon created by the [[Earth Federation]] to support their fledgling [[mobile suit]] [[space]] forces. They are usually deployed in vast numbers and operate only in [[zero gravity]] environments. Despite its unassuming looks and less than unique armament, the Ball was somewhat agile and possessed multiple different configurations, which made the pokey machines quite dangerous in the right hands.
