One of the central characters of the [[Love Hina]] series, she is a 17-year old high school student at the start of the series and a resident of the Hinata Inn (ex-inn turned girls' dormitory). She aims to get accepted to Tokyo University and spends most of her spare time doing heavy studying to achieve this goal. A model of the [[tsundere]] archetype, she has a fiery temper and a tendency to inflict violent physical punishment to the main protaganist [[Urashima Keitarou]]. Despite her violent tendencies, she also has a very caring side and has been shown encouraging and caring for many of the other characters over the course of the series. While her family is barely mentioned in the series, she has a younger half-sister named [[Narusegawa Mei]] who makes an appearance in the anime and the epilogue chapter of the manga.
