The [b]Shenyang J-31[/b], rumored to be nicknamed "Gyrfalcon" (鹘鹰), or [i]Falcon Eagle[/i] by some military enthusiasts, is a twin-engine, mid-size fifth-generation fighter [[jet]] currently under development by [i]Shenyang Aircraft Corporation[/i] for the People's Republic of China military. The fighter has also been referred to as [b]F-60[/b] (Official Chinese military code name of the export variant) or [b]J-21 Snowy Owl[/b] (雪鸮) in some International media reports. It is very similar to the American [[F-35 Lightning II]], but is equipped with two engines instead of one and lacks any [[VTOL]] capacity. h4.
