An "orb topped with a cross":[en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globus_cruciger], used for centuries as a symbol of Christ's dominion over the Earth and, by conscious extension, the divine right of kings. The best-known globus cruciger today is probably the English "Sovereign's Orb":[en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cro..._the_United_Kingdom#Orbs], one of the signature pieces of the crown jewels of Britain, which was parodied by "Monty Python":[en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Python] as the "Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch":[en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rab..._Hand_Grenade_of_Antioch] in the 1975 comedy film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail":[en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Python_and_the_Holy_Grail][/i].

The Kantai Collection incarnation of the British battleship HMS Warspite carries a black iron globus cruciger as part of her rigging (with the cross in the form of a sword with a radar antenna attached to the pommel), presumably as a reference to the crown jewels (much as her mast is designed to resemble the Sovereign's Sceptre with Cross).
