The FN SCAR (Special Forces Combat Assault Rifle) is a family of modular [[gun|firearms]] manufactured by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal. It comes in two main variants, the SCAR-L (Light), which fires the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge, and the SCAR-H (Heavy), which uses 7.62x51mm NATO. h4.
