[b]The Punisher[/b] is a violent and brutal vigilante and anti-hero from the [[Marvel]] comics universe. He is a former Green [[Beret]], Special Ops [[soldier]] and Vietnam War veteran. Frank is very big, strong and highly lethal and proficient in any type of armed and unarmed combat, very skilled in [[martial arts]] and the use of any kind of [[weapon]], from melee to firearms to heavy weaponry. He also has an almost superhuman level of pain tolerance. After becoming a civilian just as the [[Vietnam]] War ended, Castle lost his family to the mafia, a personal tragedy that turned him into [[The Punisher]]. Now he hunts down and kills any type of criminal, mostly those which murder innocent people, regardless of their allegiance. His chest is usually protected by a heavy armored bullet proof [[vest]].
