A [i][[Kemono Friends]][/i] character. She is one of many "Friends" in Japari Park. She first appeared in the second stage play of Kemono Friends. The Great Auk ([i]Pinguinus impennis[/i]) is the "original" penguin, known to the west well before the Spheniscidae Penguins (like the [[emperor_penguin_(kemono_friends)|Emperor Penguin]]) and in many languages, Auks are still called "Penguins". Indeed, Spheniscidae Penguins are now called "Penguins" [i]because[/i] of their uncanny resemblance to the Great Auk. It became extinct through a combination of the Little Ice Age and human exploitation. Ironically, the last specimens were killed in 1844, the same year of the discovery of the Emperor Penguin.
