The main protagonist of [[Hunter x Hunter]]. Gon is an athletic, rustic, and friendly young boy who had longed dreamed of becoming a Hunter like his father, [[Ging Freecss]]. In fact, the main reason Gon joined the Hunter Exam was so he could find Ging, and to see why he valued being a Hunter more than taking care of his own son. In the Hunter Exam, Gon finds [[Kurapika]], [[leorio_paladiknight|Leorio]] and [[killua_zoldyck|Killua]], the other three main characters of the series. Killua later becomes his best friend. h5. Visual characteristics Gon has [[spiked_hair|spiky]] [[black_hair|black]] and [[green_hair|green]] tipped [[multicolored_hair|hair]] and [[brown eyes]]. His usual outfit is composed of a [[green jacket]] with reddish edges covering a [[black_tank_top|black]] or [[white_tank_top|white tank top]] underneath. He also wears [[green shorts]] and [[green_footwear|green]] [[boots]]. In some arcs such as the [i]Greed Island[/i] and [i]Chimera Ants[/i] he wears only the tank top.
