Relena is initially a normal school-age girl - however, a series of chance meetings with (unbeknownst to her) Gundam pilot [[Heero Yuy]] sends her life into a crazy spiral. She has [[long_hair|long]] light [[brown hair]], and somewhat of a disposition to get herself in situations where she could possibly be killed - sometimes daring Heero to do so.
