An American [[instrument]] company founded in 1932, largely credited for being the world's first [[electric guitar]] maker. They specialize on the [[guitar]] and [[bass guitar]]. Their instruments are instantly recognizable by their curvy and slick designs often with sunburst colors and white accents reminiscent of road cars from the 50's and 60's. Despite the [[Rickenbacker 330]] guitar being much more successful commercially, their most popular model is the [[Rickenbacker 4001]] bass.
