Full title: [i]Dragon Quest II: Akuryo no Kamigami[/i] (悪霊の神々, lit. "Pantheon of Evil Spirits") The second game in the [i][[Dragon Quest]][/i] series, and the first in which the player controls a party of adventurers rather than just a single character. Set one hundred years after the first game, the plot follows the descendants of the first [i]Dragon Quest[/i]'s hero as they struggle to free their world from the domination of the evil wizard Hargon. Originally released for the [[Famicom]] in 1987, an English version was published for the NES in 1990 under the title [i]Dragon Warrior II[/i]. It has since been re-released several times, often combined with the original game, most notably for the [[Super Famicom]] and [[Game Boy Color]]. [i][[Dragon Quest Builders 2]][/i] follows after this game, which expands on the nature of the villains. h4.
