Female protagonist of [[Kino no Tabi]]. Kino is a composed, stoic, and precocious teenager who travels with her talking motorrad, [[Hermes (kino no tabi)|]]; the two have a contract—Kino provides the balance, Hermes provides the speed, and together they can travel anywhere they wish. Although Kino appears apathetic at first, she is a caring and understanding person. She travels through different countries to experience their customs and understand their histories, but she never stays longer than three days, as she is afraid of settling down, and would thus cease being a traveler. Kino is portrayed with either [[short_hair|short]] [[green hair]] and [[green eyes]] or [[black hair]] and [[black eyes]]. She wears a [[black jacket]], [[brown coat]], [[white shirt]], [[goggles on headwear|goggled cap]] and wide [[belt]] with lots of [[pouch]]es — using special gear depending on the weather or season as necessary, she is typically armed with a [[Colt 1851 Navy]] [[revolver]].
