One of the main characters of the [[metal_gear_(series)|Metal Gear]] franchise. He was a child soldier in the Liberian Civil War; when [[Solidus Snake]] made him his adopted son. He was known by nicknames of Jack The Ripper and White Devil, due to his remarkably outstanding kill record in the conflict. He was the hero of the Big Shell Incident, and assisted [[Solid Snake]] during The Guns of the Patriots. In [[Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance]], Raiden was transformed into a [[cyborg]] after numerous fights have crippled his human body and become a mercenary. The game revolves around his one-man war against World Marshal, a PMC backed by Senator [[Steven Armstrong]], and his ideological conflict.
