[i]Charlie and the Chocolate Factory[/i] is a 1964 children's novel by British author Roald Dahl. The story features the adventures of the boy Charlie Bucket inside the chocolate factory of the eccentric chocolatier [[Willy Wonka]]. The book has had several adaptation to other media, of which the 1971 musical film titled [i]Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory[/i], directed by the late Mel Stuart and starring the late Gene Wilder, is of particular note. The 2005 movie adaptation sharing the same name as the book, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, was also well received in the box office. h4.
