A 2012-2014 light novel spin-off of the [[Fate_(series)|]] series, written by Higashide Yuuichirou and illustrated by [[Konoe Ototsugu]]. Fate/Apocrypha is based around a parallel world to the [[Fate/stay night|]] canon, where the Holy Grail was removed from Fuyuki City after the third War. The plot focuses on the reappearance of the Grail at Trifas during the 2000s (around the time the fifth Fuyuki War would have occurred) and the rivalry between the Black and Red Factions, each composed of renegades and loyalists to the Mage's Association, respectively, each summoning seven Servants of each type, with the Grail itself summoning [[Jeanne d'Arc (fate)|]] as mediator.
