Raised in the Australian outback, the Sniper prides professionalism over all else. He takes his job as an assassin very seriously, and although he can often be amicable and polite, he considers sociality secondary to cold efficiency. Lives in a camper [[van]], and has questionable hygienic practices. Although he cares for his adoptive parents, they are shown to disagree with his line of work. Supplementary materials would later reveal the Sniper to actually be the child of a crazed scientist couple from the sunken nation of New Zealand, explaining his lanky build compared to real Australians. Shared a gameplay update and plenty of animosity with [[Spy (tf2)|the Spy]]. The primary long-range class of the game, the Sniper's main weapon is a bolt-action [[sniper rifle]] with which he can [[headshot]] most other classes to instantly kill them. He also wields the Huntsman [[bow_(weapon)|bow]], a [[submachine gun]], a [[kukri]], and most infamously [[Jarate]], a "jar-based karate" that consists of throwing jars of his own urine. The Sniper's default outfit includes a dark [[vest]] over a team-colored shirt, a [[quiver]] on his back, brown [[fingerless gloves]], partially transparent [[sunglasses]], a brown [[hat]], and simple dark pants and brown shoes.
