A downloadable character of [i][[Mighty No. 9]][/i], and a spiritual analogue to [[proto man|Proto Man]] [spoiler](backstory and origins)[/spoiler] and [[zero (mega man)|Zero]] (gameplay and character concepts). She was originally planed for a boss battle, however, thanks to the partnership with Deep Silver, she also became a playable character with her own story. RAY is a mysterious robot who somehow posses similar Xel-manipuating abilities to [[beck (mighty no. 9)|Beck]] as she can also assimilate Xels from other robots, however, her physical body is constantly deteriorating from Xel depravation and her sanity gradually slipping. Unlike Beck, she is a melee-oriented character à la Zero, as she fights enemies using her claws that can perform a 3-attack combo with a powerful finishing attack and a spinning tackle that allows her to charge into enemies. She can also gain "Variation Codes" from the Mighty Numbers where her arm mutates into a different weapon. [spoiler]Throughout her DLC campaign, it is revealed that her real name was Raychel, and likely to be "Mighty No. 0" as she was created by [[William White|Professor William White]] at an attempt of making a freely-evolving robot that can assimilate and manipulate Xels. Her body deteriorating is due to the faulty programming of her Xel Core.[/spoiler] She also makes another appearance in [i][[Mighty Gunvolt Burst]][/i] as a DLC character as well along with [[acura (gunvolt)|Copen]] from [i]Azure Striker Gunvolt[/i] and [[kurona (galgun)|Kurona]] from [i]Gal☆Gun[/i].
