A [[Nickelodeon]] animated franchise created by Brian Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. The franchise began with the television series [[Avatar: The Last Airbender]], which was followed by the sequel [[The Legend of Korra]]. The story is set in a world primarily influenced by Eastern culture and mythology (as well as Inuit), revolving around the reincarnations of the titular Avatar.
