[b]Batou[/b] (バトー) is one of the main characters from [[Ghost in the Shell]]. Batou is the partner of and apparent second-in-command to Major [[Kusanagi Motoko]] of Public Security Section 9's counter-terrorist unit. He is also often paired with [[Togusa]], acting as a mentor to the younger operative. An ex-Ranger, he is a large, muscular [[cyborg]] with mechanical eyes; he has gray hair tied into a ponytail.
