A character from the [[G.I. Joe]] toyline, comic books and cartoon series by [[Hasbro]] and [[Marvel]] comics. [b]Laird James McCullen Destro XXIV[/b], usually referred to simply as [b]Destro[/b], is the [[scotland|Scottish]] leader of a weapons manufacturer company and main ordinance supplier for the [[Cobra Command]] [[terrorist]] organization. Destro hides his face -which is unknown to many- in a metal [[mask]] forged from beryllium steel and has [[arm guards]] equipped with mini-[[rocket launcher]]s and [[grenade]]s. He first appeared in number 11 of the original G.I. Joe Marvel comics series and his [[action figure]] debuted in 1983.
