A major character from [[Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei]]. Matoi's name is a pun on the word "常[に]付き纏い" - "tsune (ni) tsukematoi" ("always following") - referring to her habit of obsessively stalking on (and imitating the fashion sense of) anyone she falls in love with. Fell in love with her homeroom teacher [[Itoshiki Nozomu]] and ultimately began stalking him and donning a [[kimono]], specifically a [[meiji schoolgirl uniform]].
