The wimple consists of a large piece of cloth draped across the top and sides of the head, neck and chin. This head-covering is usually worn to conceal the hair and other parts of the head for modesty purposes. Roman-Catholic [[nun|nuns and religious sisters]] still retain the wimple as part of their distinctive [[habit|headdress]]. h4. Tag usage notes * Tag wimple when you see the 'headscarf' noted above. ** It should generally be worn to count; otherwise it's just a piece of cloth. * Avoid tagging wimple if it does not adequately cover the top, sides and back of the head.
