[b][i]Macross Zero[/i][/b] ([i]Makurosu Zero[/i]) is a five part [[Macross]] OVA series set in an alternate year 2008. It is an official prequel to [[Choujikuu Yousai Macross]] (1982). The series was created and directed by [[Kawamori Shouji]], with mecha designs by Kawamori, [[Miyatake Kazutaka]] and [[Ishigaki Jun'ya]]. The first episode was released in December 21, 2002.
