History In real life, she was originally built as the [[Cleveland (Azur Lane)|]]-class light cruiser USS [i]Amsterdam[/i] (CL-59), she was ordered converted into a light carrier in the first half of 1942 amid the urgency for carriers in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor. Commissioned in early January 1943, her first combat stint was a large airstrike on Rabaul in November aided by [[Saratoga (Azur Lane)|]], [[Essex (Azur Lane)|]], [[Bunker Hill (Azur Lane)|]], and her own sister ship [[Princeton (Azur Lane)|]]. Seeing service in Leyte Gulf and Okinawa, she was decommissioned in mid-1946 after being subjected to nuclear tests in [[Operation Crossroads]] alongside Saratoga. Highly radioactive, she was finally scuttled in 1951 off California. h4.
