Expression derived from a tagline of Warhammer 40K that states 'In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war', and usually used to described a fictional world or situation with little or no hope, no realistic possibilities for a better future and general prevalence of sufferings or bad situation for the peoples. Usually this adjective characterize dystopian societies, dominated by war, great disequalities, violence and exploitation, and in which the 'good' characters are rare or inexistent.
