Alternative is the most well regarded and popular part of the series, and the original VN inspired several spin-offs and sidestories including [[Muvluv Total Eclipse|Total Eclipse]], [[The Euro Front]], [[Schwarzesmarken]], and [[muvluv alternative strike Frontier|Strike Frontier]]. A manga adaptation illustrated by [[Makishima Azusa]] was published from August 21, 2007 to April 27, 2017. This adaptation added extra scenes from other characters' points of view that were not present in the original VN.
