An incidental background character who plays little role in the story. They often are not given names (or even much in the way of facial features), although this is not always the case. Many times they may be credited with a generic title in the credits, e.g. "Student" or "Girl A". They are called モブキャラ ([i]mobu kyara[/i], "mob characters") in Japanese. h4.
