[i]For the [[mecha]] from [[Gundam 0080]], see [[Kampfer (Mobile Suit)]].[/i] [b]Kämpfer[/b] ([[German]] for "Fighter") is a light novel series by Tsukiji Toshihiko, with illustrations by [[Senmu (senmudayo)|]]. The series contains 15 volumes published by [i]Media Factory[/i] under their [i]MF Bunko J[/i] imprint between November 2006 and March 2010. The main series covers 12 volumes, while the remaining three are short story collections. A manga adaptation by [[Tachibana Yuu]] started serialization in the April 2008 issue of [i]Monthly Comic Alive[/i]. A 12-episode anime adaptation aired in Japan between October and December 2009 on [i]TBS[/i], concluded in spring 2011 with [i]Kämpfer für die Liebe[/i]. The series has extensive use of the German language. h4. Plot [[Senou Natsuru]] discovered that he can morph into a female fighter (Kämpfer) after receiving a plush doll gift from his friend, [[Sakura Kaede]]. Suddenly, he discovered himself in a deadly fight between Kämpfers. The party responsible for the fight is rumored to be as Moderators and they are mysterious. h4.
