A move that has had as much impact on the [[Mario (series)|Mario]] franchise as moves such as the Wall Jump and Spin Jump. This move is usually executed by crouching in mid-air, but is sometimes performed by pressing the jump button twice instead (usually in [[Mario Party]] minigames). When used, the character will smash the back of his head on the ground, which can have many results. This move can break or activate blocks from above, in contrast to the effect of a normal jump. It is sometimes the only way to defeat an enemy or complete a mission, such as destroying [[Chain Chomp]]s' stakes in the [[New Super Mario Bros.]] series, and is usually more powerful than a normal stomp. h4.
