A character from the [[Transformers]] science fiction franchise. [b]Jetfire[/b] is a heroic [[Autobot]], a sentient [[alien]] [[robot]] that can transform into a red and white combat [[spacecraft]]. In [[Japan]] and in the first TV series his name was changed to [b]Skyfire[/b] (スカイファイアー). He used to be [[Starscream]]'s best friend in the past. Jetfire's first American toy was a conversion of the original [[VF-1 Super]] Valkyrie [[mecha]] from [[MACROSS]] (created by [[Kawamori Shouji]] in the early 80s). In the live action films he is an old robot warrior that transforms into an [[sr-71_blackbird|SR-71]] [[jet]]. In the movies he used to be a [[Decepticon]], but eventually got tired of being one and decided to side with the Autobots.
