A fictional [[mecha]] that first appeared in [[Mobile Suit Gundam]] (1979). The [b]GM[/b] ([b]Gundam Mass Production[/b]) is an [[Earth Federation]] mass production all-environment combat mobile suit based off the design and data obtained from the learning computer of the [[RX-78-2|RX-78-2 Gundam]] more advanced prototype. It is far less powerful and durable than the Gundam, but much cheaper to mass produce and easier to maintain and repair. In [[real life]] it was designed by [[Ookawara Kunio]] in the late [[1970s_(style)|70s]]. h4.
