His appearance varies depending on which game he's in, but he'll always be seen with [[blonde hair]] and [[sunglasses]]. In [[Metal Gear 2]] and [[Metal Gear Solid]], he wears a [[tank top]], [[black gloves]], a [[ponytail]], and either a [[whistle around neck|whistle around his neck]] or [[dog tags]]. He's also commonly featured with a [[prosthetic arm]], but it's unknown if he actually got a prosthetic in canon. In [[Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker]], he wears a [[yellow ascot]](?), a [[green shirt]] with its [[sleeves rolled up]], a [[wristwatch]], and [[boots]]. In [[Metal Gear Solid V]], he becomes a [[double amputee]] after being tortured. He wears a [[beret]], a [[green shirt|green]] [[collared shirt]], a [[red_necktie]], a [[coat]], a [[cane]], a [[vest]], and a [[stubble]].
