Historically the submarine responsible for sinking [[Taihou (Azur Lane)|]] in the battle of the Philippine Sea, which explains why the latter is fearful of her in the game voice lines (and [[Azur Lane: Slow Ahead|the Slow Ahead spinoff]]).
